The centerpiece of Philadelphia's Avenue of the Arts, The hotel is located at Ten Avenue of the Arts in the landmark Girard trust Company Bank Rotunda and Tower. Originally built as The Girard Trust Company and home to the Girard Bank. McKim, Mead and White, who are also known for Boston's Symphony Hall, Columbia University and the Washington Square Arch in New York, designed the building between 1901 and 1904.
